Truancy Reduction Program – Delaware Center for Justice, Inc.

The Truancy Reduction Program (TRP) serves high school and middle school students who are involved in Truancy Court due to low school attendance. Referrals to the program are made by school districts’ visiting teachers and/or Truancy Court judges.

Throughout the court process, TRP case managers work collaboratively with students and their families to address the underlying causes of truancy.  Case managers advocate for the students’ needs both in Truancy Court and his or her school district.

It is our goal that each student will feel supported in school, engage in learning, and become his or her own advocate. We strive to increase academic engagement while decreasing future court involvement.
