Summer Session Registration Is Open
Students are encouraged to register for the 2024 Summer Session to get ahead or catch up on coursework
While the weather still feels like spring, it’s time to start thinking about summer.
The University of Delaware’s Summer Session registration is now open. Courses are offered at an accelerated pace in five-, seven-and-a-half- and 10-week sessions, in-person or online.
“Summer courses give students the chance to get ahead in their studies or catch up on their major or general education requirements,” said George Irvine, associate provost for online learning and innovation.
Faculty and advisors are encouraged to discuss Summer Session’s course offerings with students.
According to Irvine, “There are 475 courses to choose from this summer, and they are offered online, in-person, or hybrid. This allows students to choose the right mix of courses to fit their summer plans.”
Summer Session has many invaluable benefits such as smaller class sizes, additional time to network with professors, an opportunity to participate in experiential learning and a chance to catch up or get ahead. Summer is also a great time for students to focus on a tougher subject in a shorter period.
